His Presence Newcastle ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
We are a registered charity (no. 0000000) based at 1 Grainger Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 5JG. For any privacy matter, contact hello@hispresencenewcastle.org.uk.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us (name, email, phone) via our forms.
- Visit and connection information (e.g. when you plan a visit or join a group).
- Giving and Gift Aid information, where you choose to give.
- Prayer requests you share (handled with particular care and confidentiality).
Information about your religious beliefs is "special category data". We process it under the not-for-profit condition in the UK GDPR, and only with appropriate safeguards.
How we use it
- To welcome you, respond to your enquiries and provide pastoral care.
- To administer giving and claim Gift Aid where you have made a declaration.
- To send you communications you have asked to receive (you can opt out at any time).
- To meet our legal, safeguarding and charity governance obligations.
Sharing
We never sell your data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, payment and email providers) under appropriate agreements, or where required by law or to safeguard someone at risk.
Keeping your data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary. Routine records are kept for limited periods; Gift Aid records are retained as HMRC requires; and safeguarding records are kept in line with statutory guidance.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email hello@hispresencenewcastle.org.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
